Senate Bill 260 as introduced proposes a constitutional amendment that prohibits any monies from the State Parks Fund, the Parks Revolving Fund, or any fund receiving revenues currently deposited in the State Parks Fund or the Parks Revolving Fund from being transferred for another purpose other than the support, upkeep, and maintenance of the state parks system. If passed, this could decrease further potential revenues to the State General Fund. In fiscal year 2016, $1,000,000 is to be transferred from the Parks Revolving Fund.

This bill will increase the proclamation expenses of the Governor, paid from the State General Fund, by an estimated $100,000 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2017.
