FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 129 as introduced appropriates the sum of $6,405,094,312 from the Education Trust Fund (ETF) to various state agencies, entities, institutions, and public schools for the support, maintenance, and development of public education in Alabama for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2018.

In addition, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2018, this act appropriates the following amounts to the following entities from other state funds: the sum of $180,532,864 from the Public School Fund to the State Board of Education for public schools; the sum of $10,000,000 from the Dual Enrollment Tax Credit Fund to the Board of Trustees of the Alabama Community College System for the Two-Year College System Dual Enrollment Program; the sum of $6,718,324 from the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Fund to the Alabama Peace Officers' Standards and Training Commission; the sum of $4,982,937 from the Driver Education and Training Fund to the Department of Education; the sum of $5,000,000 from the Special Education Catastrophic Fund to the Department of Education; the sum of $5,574,578 from the Supercomputer Revolving Fund to the Alabama Supercomputer Authority; the sum of $7,191,165 from the Alabama Board of Nursing Trust Fund to the Alabama Board of Nursing; the sum of $1,300,000 from the Alabama Head and Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund to the Department of Rehabilitation Services; and the sum of $500,000 from the Children's Policy Council Fund to the Department of Early Childhood Education.

In addition, this act appropriates the sum of $8,605,141,671 from federal and other funds for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2018.

As substituted and amended by the Committee on Finance and Taxation Education, conditionally appropriates $825,000 to the University of Montevallo for roads and infrastructure.
