FISCAL NOTE

House Bill 154 as introduced will increase the obligations of the Secretary of State’s Office by an estimated $250,000 annually to accept campaign finance reports and statements for all statewide, county, and municipal races. This bill would correspondingly decrease the administrative obligations of the judges of probate due to this change in reporting.

Also, this bill provides that all civil penalties levied pursuant to this bill shall be distributed to the State General Fund.
