FISCAL NOTE

Senate Bill 200 as introduced and as amended and reported by the Committee on Governmental Affairs would (1) reduce the obligations of the Election Expenses Account funded by State General Fund appropriations by an estimated $888,000 every four years by no longer mailing notices to all registered voters, (2) reduce the obligations of county general funds collectively by an estimated $31,500 every four years, and (3) conversely increase the obligations of the Election Expenses Account by an estimated $31,500 every four years. The total net effect of the provisions of this bill to the Election Expenses Account is an estimated savings of $856,000 every four years.
