Senate Bill 286 as introduced provides for one additional circuit court judgeship in the 23rd, 19th, and 28th Judicial Circuits and one district court judgeship in Dekalb County. According to the Administrative Office of Courts, this would increase the obligations of the State General Fund by an estimated $418,000 for fiscal year 2021 and $1.67 million dollars for fiscal years 2022 and thereafter to fill the four additional judgeships and 11 support positions.
