House Bill 153 as passed the House of Representatives would allow members of the Board of Trustees of the University of West Alabama to attend meetings virtually which could reduce reimbursement expenses, per diem and travel, of the board by an estimated $159 per member for each board meeting attended virtually. In addition, this bill allows the public to attend board meetings virtually, which is the current practice of the board.
